These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LabGrade website www.labgrade.co.uk and any purchases made through it. By accessing the site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or make any purchases.

All products sold by LabGrade are strictly for laboratory and scientific research use only.
1. Products and Intended Use
• All peptides and research chemicals are supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research purposes. They are not for human consumption, veterinary use, therapeutic applications, in-vivo experimentation, or any other non-research purpose.
• By placing an order, you confirm that:
• You are a qualified researcher, laboratory, educational institution, or business conducting legitimate scientific research.
• You will use the products solely in compliance with all applicable UK laws and institutional guidelines.
• You understand and accept that the products are not approved for human or animal use and carry no implied warranties for any other application.
• We make no claims regarding the biological effects, safety, efficacy, or suitability of any product for any purpose beyond laboratory research. Descriptions are limited to factual details such as quantity, form, purity, and storage instructions.
2. Orders and Contract Formation
• All orders are subject to acceptance by us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including if we suspect misuse or non-research intent.
• The contract between you and us is formed when we dispatch your order (or send a dispatch confirmation email).
• Prices are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. We may adjust prices without notice prior to order acceptance.
• You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your order details (including delivery address).
3. Payment and Security
• We accept payments via [Squarespace Payments / your chosen gateways]. All transactions are processed securely.
• You confirm that the payment method used belongs to you or that you have authority to use it.
• We may implement additional verification steps (e.g., identity or qualification checks) for compliance with research-chemical supply practices.
4. Shipping and Delivery
• We primarily ship within Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom. International shipping may be available on request but is subject to destination-country regulations; you are responsible for compliance and any importduties/taxes.
• Delivery times are estimates only. We use reputable carriers (e.g., Royal Mail) with discreet, plain packaging.
• Risk in the products passes to you upon dispatch. Title passes upon full payment.
5. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
• Due to the nature of research chemicals, we do not accept returns or offer refunds once products have been dispatched, except in cases of proven shipping damage or clear manufacturing defect (reported with photographic evidence within 7 days of receipt).
• You have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel an order before dispatch. Contact us promptly to exercise this right.
• Refunds (where applicable) will be issued to the original payment method within 14 days, minus any reasonable costs incurred.
• Opened or used vials are non-returnable for health, safety, and regulatory reasons.
6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
• Products are provided “as is” with no warranties, express or implied, beyond those required by law. We do not warrant suitability for any specific research application.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, LabGrade shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the products or website.
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of the products purchased.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
7. Prohibited Conduct
• You must not:
• Use or attempt to use products for any human or animal consumption, therapeutic, or diagnostic purpose.
• Resell, redistribute, or supply the products to third parties without our prior writtenconsent.
• Make any health, performance, or therapeutic claims about the products.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe these Terms are breached.
8. Intellectual Property
• All content on the LabGrade website (text, images, logos) is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute it without permission.
9. Data Protection
• Your personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
10. Changes to Terms
• We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
• These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom.
• Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts (or English courts where required for consumers outside Scotland under applicable consumer protection rules).
